Raymond Lawrence Williams died August 11, 2020 at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born January 20, 1938 to Raymond Alfred Williams and Audrey Malaer Williams. He married Bonnie Jean Beller on August 22, 1997. Ray was a proud veteran of the US Marines. During his life, he owned and managed several motels in Texas and Oklahoma before settling in Pauls Valley. Ray was very active outdoors and enjoyed working in the yard and playing golf. After retiring in September, 2012, he and Bonnie moved to Angel Fire, New Mexico. When his health began to fail, they moved back to Oklahoma to be close to family in May, 2019.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, and both sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; son, Mark Williams, of Ada, OK; grandson, Stevie Lee (Amber) Williams of Ada, OK; great-grandson, Andrew; step-great-granddaughter, Kailin Bare; granddaughter, Amber (Matt) Newcombe; great-grandsons, Presley and Nathan; son, John (Carolyn) Williams of Pauls Valley, OK; grandsons, James (Madeline) of Moore, OK, Jonathon of OKC and Jacob of Pauls Valley, OK; son, Keith (Deborah) Williams of OKC; granddaughter, Paige of OKC; grandson, Parker of Stillwater, OK; stepdaughter, Julie (Ben) Vandaveer of Norman, OK; grandson, Malcolm; granddaughter, Sidney; stepdaughter, Kendall (Blake) Porter of Edmond, OK; granddaughter, Nora Belle, grandson, Jackson Rhodes; his loyal companion of 9 years, a boxer named Dakota; and a recent addition of a Schnoodle, Fuschia, because he wanted a lap dog.
There will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19 at 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany for immediate family. The service will be shown online. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ray to either Wounded Warriors or ASPCA.
