MICHAEL WAYNE WILLIAMS 68, passed from this life and to his true country on Sunday August 22,2021, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held at the Roam Chief building on August 27, 2021, at 2:00pm.
Mike was born in Pawnee on August 17, 1953, to Fred Williams and Vivena Pratt Williams. He lived most of his life in Pawnee with a time in Tonkawa, Oklahoma while attending nursing school at Northern Oklahoma College and some time lived in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for most of his adult life and later worked in landscaping and lawn work. Mike’s gifts and interest included freehand drawing, mechanics, playing the guitar, and was a water dowser. Mike’s most obvious and best gift was his warm and giving temperament, and he spent so much time with his nephews and nieces building relationships with them, strengthening bonds, and making memories with them that will carry them throughout their lifetime.
Preceding Mike in death are his parents, Fred and Vivena Williams, his brother Floyd, brother Daniel, brother John, and sister Carol Najafian.
Surviving family members are sister, Kathleen Araujo of Pawnee, Melissa and Mary Williams, both of Stillwater, and half-sister Lonita Stewart of Talihina. He is also survived by numerous nephews, a niece, and many other great-nephews and great nieces.
The Reverend Lewis Bernard will officiate memorial services at the Roam Chief building on Friday, August 27,2021, at 2:00pm.
