Jason Rodney Williams
February 10, 1991 ~ February 25, 2023

A celebration of life ceremony will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, for Jason Rodney Williams, a former Durant resident and son of James Rodney and Berdie Williams of Durant.

Jason was born on Feb. 10, 1981, in Denison, Texas, and passed on Feb. 25, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jason’s partner in life is Scott Fitzgerald of Atlanta. His siblings are, Carson Williams (Ericka) of Seattle, Washington, and Jill Williams (Jayce Cogburn) of Durant, Oklahoma.

He loved his adorable nieces, Everly and Elliot Williams dearly. Jason attended Durant High School and graduated from the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics and the University of Oklahoma.

We will be sharing stories and happy memories of our wonderful son, who is greatly missed. He told fun tales of his trips around the world and enjoyed exploring 47 states and over 25 countries. Jason led an amazing life of achievement and was a highly respected individual with a brilliant mind. His career involved work with major U.S. corporations and he recently rose to the rank of Category Director for NAPA, Genuine Parts Company. Jason posthumously received the 2023 Category Manager of the Year award for “reinventing the accessories category in store and online.”

“Jason has led superior growth in a depressed market and put NAPA Auto Parts on the map for accessories.”

The event was held on Feb. 28, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

We are very proud of our son and brother’s achievements in life and his contributions to society.

Jason’s favorite quote: “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.” - Thoreau.

A future celebration of life ceremony will also be held in Durant for family and friends. Details will be shared later.
