John Arthur "Butch" Williams

December 31, 1948 ~ June 21, 2010

John Arthur "Butch" Williams floated away with the angels to be with our Lord down the Red River at Addington Bend in Marietta, Oklahoma June 26, 2010, where a small vigil was held with family and friends.

Uncle Johnny was born December 31, 1948 in Bakersfield, California and passed away June 21, 2010 in Marietta.

He served our country in the Army in 1971 and worked most of his life as a mechanic. He loved laughing with friends, watching baseball, throwing shoes and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John E. And Maggie I. McCoin Williams, both of Missouri; a sister, Connie S. Jackson of Bakersfield; and brother-in-law, William L. Jackson of Marietta. He is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bob Sebesta of Bakersfield; sister, Sandra K. Jackson of Marietta; and special companion and best friend, Barbara Schollmier of Marietta.

He had no children of his own, but was a beloved uncle, survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews from various states. He will be remembered with laughter, is loved and greatly missed but forever alive in our hearts.

This obituary included a picture of Mr. Williams.
