Isaac Tillery "Ikey" Williams

Isaac Tillery "Ikey" Williams
September 10, 1929 - October 18, 2022

Ikey lived life to the fullest! He was a pillar of the community wherever he lived! Always willing to help at a moments notice!

He was born on the family farm north west of Leedey on September 10, 1929, he was the youngest of 7 children, four sisters and two brothers. He departed his life on earth in Woodward Oklahoma, on October 18, 2022.

He met the love of his life Lorine Warden at Leedey Oklahoma. Ikey told the story of the first time he asked Lorine out was when she and her best friend Barbara (Craig) had gone to the movies in Leedey. Ikey talked the lady that ran the theater into letting him in just long enough to ask Lorine out. He was so excited when she said yes he took off running home (10 plus miles) but luckily a neighbor in an old truck had to slow down at the railroad tracks so Ikey jumped on the back and rode the truck home. Ikey said he went in the house and woke his dad up and told him he would need the truck so he could take out the girl he was going to marry. Ikey and Lorine were married at the Cordell Oklahoma courthouse on November 21, 1945. They were married almost 46 years when Lorine passed away in September of 1991. In there young married life work kept them moving from Oklahoma, California, Kansas and then back to Oklahoma.

Ikey and Lorine were the proud parents of 4 children, 3 daughters and 1 son. Once they retired they moved to their Lake home at Forsyth Missouri. Ikey enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and dominoes with friends and family. He was a prominent citizen of the Leedey community where he served on the CO-OP board and was President of the School Board!

Ikey had a large herd of cattle and farmed many acres of land. He was considered to be a respected farmer/rancher with good advice for other young people who wanted to learn about the farming and cattle industry. He also did custom swathing and bailing hay, built barns and was willing to help anyone. He was a substitute mail carrier while at Leedey! Also loved to watch Leedey basketball teams play ball. Later when they moved to Missouri they ran the camp ground for the Presley family in Branson, he ran the Fun Spot in Rockaway Beach Missouri, worked for Reinhardt meat packing plant where he smoked his own briskets and also delivered meat for the plant. He was a busy man but always had time to entertain family and friends anytime they came around! Ikey was loved by everyone he met and is going to truly be missed!

Ikey was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Tillery Sr and Maud Caroline (Massey) Williams, his wife Ida Lorine (Warden) Williams, all 6 of his siblings, son-in-law Danny Akin, 2 great grandsons Braxton Lynn Wheeler and Jacob Matthew Price!

Ikey is survived by his 4 children: Shelia and husband Jim Hedrick of Yukon Oklahoma, Sandy Akin of Woodward, Oklahoma, IT Williams III and wife Jennifer of Foley Alabama, Carrie and fiancé Mickey Ferrell of Yukon, Oklahoma. 9 grand children, Howard and wife Patti Betts, Dayton and wife Susan Betts, Max Price, Darren and wife Kim Price, Isaac and wife Candy Williams, Dallas Williams and Sommer Sharon, Cara Wheeler and Kay Ferrell. 20 great grandchildren plus one on the way and 5 great great grandchildren.
