The funeral service for Cleveland Williams, 52, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Enid, Okla.
On Sept. 30, 1963, it was recorded that Cleveland Williams was born to Sylvester Williams Sr., and Rita Rena (Starnes) Williams in Enid, at St. Mary's Hospital.
Cleveland attended kindergarten at St. Joseph Catholic School. He then attended Hoover Elementary, Waller Junior High, Enid High School, and O.T. Autry Vo-Tech. Cleveland's training at vo-tech was in culinary, as family and friends can attest to his fine cooking skills. He was a member and outstanding player on the gridiron for the Enid High Plainsmen. After completing high school, Cleveland attended Langston University where he studied computer programming and played football.
Cleveland worked for UPS in Oklahoma City for numerous years before deciding to put his culinary skills to use, and began working for many different different restaurants. It has recently been learned that Cleveland gave his life to the ministry and became a most valuable player of the ministry in his last few years of life.
The joy of Cleveland's life was his daughter, Angel Dawn Williams.
Cleveland leaves behind one child, Angel Dawn Williams, Hennessey; three siblings, Sylvester Williams Jr., Enid; Lydia Vesta (Monte) Breckenridge, Hennessey; and Oda Williams, Oklahoma City.
Proceeding Cleveland in death were his parents, Sylvester Williams, Sr., and Rita Rena (Starnes) Williams.
