Bobby Myrl Wilhite

October 1, 1927 ~ June 26, 2006

Funeral Services for Bobby Myrl Wilhite were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at the Hart Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Haney officiating.

Bobby Myrl Wilhite, the son of Elton Wilhite and Lola Carden, was born October 1, 1927 in Pucell, Missouri. He departed this life June 26, 2006 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 24 days.

Bobby enlisted in the United States Army from 1946-1949. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1949 and retired in 1966 after 20 years.

Bobby served overseas in the Azores, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Okinawa. While in the Air Force, Bobby earned the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Good Conduct Medal with five Bronze Loops, World War 2 Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), National Defense Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Korean Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters and United Nations Service Medal.

His parents and twin brother, Bill, preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 53 years, Olga of the home; two sons, Rex Wilhite and wife Debbie, of Blytheville, Arkansas, Robert Wilhite and wife Ocie of Stilwell, OK; three daughters, Roxanne Cox and husband Ronnie of LaPorte, Texas, Rhonda Roberts and husband, Tom of Alma, Arkansas, Roslyn Spoon and husband Tim of LaPorte, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services were handled by the Hart Funeral Home in Stilwell.
