George "Mike" Whitwell

George "Mike" Whitwell
July 28, 1946 ~ February 24, 2021

George "Mike" Whitwell, 74, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all, passed away on February 24, 2021. He entered this world on July 28, 1946 in Stonewall, OK.

He is survived by his wife Lisa. Children include: Katie Musmecci (Jon), Lance Whitwell, Sadie Thews (Trace), Samuel Dunaway, and grandsons Payton, Kelly and Giovanni. He is also survived by Kathy Whitwell and Beverly Pertille, by his sister, Vicki (Mike) Gordy and sons, Scott and Tryston.

He was preceded in death by son, David Tomkewitz, sister and brother-in-law Jeannette (John) Monk, brother, Charles William “Billy” Whitwell, II, and parents, Charles and Esther Whitwell.

Other surviving nieces and nephews include: Donna Kay (Rick) Thornhill, Tommy (Crystal), Brianna, J.T. Monk, Kristie Liles, Susan, Lynnae and Alaina Monk.

George served in the Tinker Fire Department until retirement. He spent all free time working on or around pools and spending time with family.

Visitation will be from 9-4 with family present from 5-7 on March 4 at Ford Funeral Home. A family service will be held at 10 a.m. on March 5.
