Linda Jean Whitson, 66, of Bartlesville, died at 12:57 P.M. on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Services for Mrs. Whitson will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, November 25, 2013 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with her son, Dr. Kenne Whitson of the Church of Christ in Garden City, Kansas officiating. Memorial services and cremation are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Whitson was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on July 21, 1947 the daughter of Pauline (Coberly) and Robert Sherman Blair. She grew up and received her education in Bartlesville and graduated from College High School in 1965. She then studied accounting and business courses and worked at the employment office in Bartlesville. She was later active as a department manager in a retail sales store in Bartlesville. She was married to Jimmie Lee Whitson on March 21, 1971 at the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville and they have lived in Bartlesville all of their married life. Mrs. Whitson was active as a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Whitson is survived by her husband, Jimmie Lee Whitson of the home, one daughter, Patricia Konen and husband Jonathan of Bartlesville, one son, Dr. Kenne Whitson and wife Regina of Garden City, Kansas, one step son, Rick Johnson of New Jersey, three sisters, Shirley Inman of Winganon, and Wanda Medlin and Donna Merchant and her husband Carl all of Bartlesville, one brother, John Robert Blair of Tulsa, seven grandchildren, Candace Johnson, Kaitlynn Elzea, Matthew Konen, Michael Konen, Hannah Whitson, Chase Whitson and Rebecca Whitson and one great grandchild, Conner Wade. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Joyce Burris and Juanita Guthrie, and a daughter, Blynda Whitson.
