Edward Leroy Whitson

February 26th 1946 ~ November 5th 2016

Edward Leroy Whitson was born February 26th 1946 and departed this life on November 5th 2016 at the age of 70 at St Johns Hospital in Tulsa.

Ed was a butcher by trade and was a truck driver for many years. He had a passion for fishing.

He was survived by his wife Judy Harney and beloved dogs Abby and Star of the home. Brother Darrel Whitson of Dewey. Daughter Debbie Canute of Oak Park. Nephew Donny and wife Annette and kids of Berryville Ar. Nephew Timmy and wife Birdie Whitson and kids of Bartlesville. Nephew Dino Williams of Bartlesville. Nephew Jason Whitson and wife Siobhan of Houston Texas. Nephews Denny Eveland, Ronnie Eveland, Richey Eveland. Nieces Carla Eveland and Michelle Mitchell. Niece Kelly Dunkle and family. Nieces Robin Freeman and family of Texas. Cindy Whitson and family from Conroe Texas. Kim Wagoner and family of Texas. Brother in law Jerry Smith of Claremore. Sister in law Susan and Darrel of Bartlesville. He was also survived by his favorite fishing buddy and friend Jeremy Dunlap and daughter Zoey.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Walter and Sarah Whitson, son Dustin, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Celebration of life will be at Matoaka Baptist Church (24660 N 3940 Rd Ochelata Oklahoma) at 1pm on November the 19th 2016.

The family will be having a dinner after the celebration of life and friends and family are welcome to stay.
