Samuel Charles Whiteman, Jr.

December 6, 1930 ~ November 13, 2010

Samuel Charles Whiteman, Jr. passed away November 13, 2010 at Mary Hurley Hospital in Coalgate at the age of 79. He was born December 6, 1930 in Port Jefferson, New York to Samuel Charles Whiteman and Edna M. Whiteman.

Mr. Whiteman had worked as a fry cook and had served in the Korean War. He is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Alvarado and husband Hector A. Alvarado of Waddell, AZ; one son, Sam Whiteman of New York, NY; grandchidren, Hector A. Alvarado, Jeremiah Alvarado, Emily Alvarado and Tyler Whiteman, Jake Whiteman and Sierra Whiteman; one special niece, Leslie Portugal and husband Dave of CA; one sister-in-law Mary Whiteman of SC; three brothers-in-law, Stanley Buchana of Coalgate, Larry Buchana and wife Sheila of Coalgate and Jerry Buchana and wife Sherry of Durant, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Whiteman; siblings, Earl, Isabella(Ritch), Harold, Russell and Marianne.
