William "Bill" Lee White entered his Heavenly home on Monday, April 13, 2026, in Orange, Texas.
He was born on September 17, 1948, in Boulder, Colorado, to William and Daunis White, and was lovingly raised in Hominy, Oklahoma, by his Aunt Kate and Uncle Babe. On September 24, 1966, Bill married his high school sweetheart, Norma Dobbins, in Hominy, Oklahoma.
Bill devoted his life to pipeline construction, beginning as a teenager and building a remarkable 61-year career leading major projects across the United States and internationally.
Highly successful and deeply respected in his field, he received numerous awards and honors. Most notably, Bill was recognized as one of eighty industry icons in the published book Men of Achievement in the Pipeline Industry.
Bill loved his work and continued working until the day the Lord called him home. Bill embraced the old saying, "There's nothing finer than a pipeliner" and he truly was one of the finest.
Bill enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life. He raised bird dogs and loved quail hunting. He spent many happy days at the lake, boating and fishing. For a time, he owned a ranch with cattle and horses, which brought him great joy. Bill also enjoyed cooking out and playing dominoes and pool-all activities shared with his family whom he deeply loved.
He was a member of Dogwood Hills Baptist Church in Palestine, Texas, where he was baptized in 2004.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, William White; his aunt and mother figure, Kate Colbaugh; his uncle, Lowell "Babe" Colbaugh; his brother, Larry White; and his favorite cousin, Judy Colbaugh Stewart.
Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Mike White of Arlington, Texas; Tiffany White of Palestine, Texas; and Waylon White of Odessa, Texas; three siblings: Jack White, Katie Eaton, and Patty White; his stepmother, Judy White; and nine grandchildren.
