Nellie Mae (Marshall) White

Mrs. Nellie Mae White, 69, of Bartlesville, died at 6:20 P.M. on Monday February 24, 2014 in Bartlesville.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday February 27, 2014, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, in Bartlesville with Brother Allen Birk officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses c/o Mr. Allen Birk 1311 S.E. Harris Dr. Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006.

Mrs. White was born on August 22, 1944 at Lewisville, Arkansas to Lige and Margie (Sams) Marshall. She came with her family to the Dewey area as a young girl where she grew up and received her education, graduating from Dewey High School in 1962. Shortly after her graduation she was married to Ernest Lee White on July 6, 1963 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They made their home for a few years in Bartlesville until 1966 when they moved to Palo Alto, California, where she worked as a medical transcriptionist, until returning to Bartlesville in 1977. She worked in the home cleaning business for a number of years until she retired in 2011. She was a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, where she was very active in the ministry of her religion. She also helped to raise her brothers and sisters, and her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also was dedicated to contributing to St. Judes Medical research, and was a very strong and generous woman whose life revolved around her family and her grandchildren.

Mrs. White is survived by her two daughters, Charlisa White of Bartlesville, and Zorina White of Beaverton, Oregon, by a son Michael Lee White of Bartlesville and his fianc� Mylisa Sayles White; who was like a daughter to her, by four sisters, Elizabeth Davis of East Palo Alto California, Willie Mae White, Mosezell Marshall, and Geneva Ogans all of Bartlesville, by seven grandchildren; Mischa White of Tulsa, OK. Tischa White of Oregon, Devin D.J. White of Bartlesville, JaLysa White of Del City, OK. Tyrell Pless, and Tashawn Pless, both of Oregon, and Letesa Mae Sayles White of Norman, OK., three great grandchildren DeJiah Jeree Nicole White, Juma Jamari Alton Neal Hamadi, and Harmony Elise Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lige and Margie Marshall and by her husband Ernest Lee White in 1992, by a son Ray Alton White in 1996, and by four brothers, Vernell, Lige, Lee, and John Marshall.
