Clinton Shaw White
November 06, 1932 ~ February 04, 2018

Clinton Shaw White, son of C.W. White, Jr. and Grace (Webb) White, was born November 6, 1932 in Cuzick, Maddison County, KY.  He passed from this life on February 4, 2018 at Shreveport, LA. at the age of 85.   His youth was spent in Kentucky where he attended grade school at Silome and high school at Boyd County High School in Catlettsburg. 

In 1953 he joined the Navy and on the day he left his father proclaimed him "the best son a man could ever have."  Clinton pursued his naval career until his honorable discharge and retirement in 1972, he had attained the rank of E-6, radarman 1st class. During his career he received extensive training and education and was awarded numerous decorations, badges, citations and campaign ribbons, including service medals for Korea and Viet Nam.    

While stationed on the west coast, Clinton was united in marriage to Alene Kay Simmons at Gardena, California on June 7, 1958.  They made their life together traveling from Hawaii to Georgia with Clinton's career. Their union was blessed with the adoption of two children, Wendy and Kyle.  Upon his retirement from the Navy they resided in Buena Vista, Co. for 17 years where Clinton became a lifelong Bronco fan.  Clinton was baptized as a child and while residing in Arnett, OK. for several years, he attended the Methodist Church.   

Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, C.W. and Grace, his beloved wife Kay, two brothers, Ores and Donald, one sister, Barbara and one sister-in-law Lynda White.  Those cherishing the memory of this hardworking man are his children, Wendy M. White of Colorado Springs, CO. and Kyle M. White and wife, Teresa of Shreveport, LA., six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.   His sisters, Charlotte Conley and husband Mike, Oil Spring, KY, Jacqueline Cornelius and husband Darrel of Pratt, KS. and Teresa Bullard and special friend Charlie McDaniel of Horseshoe Bend, AR.  His brothers, Roger White and wife Ann of Augusta, KY. and Wayne White of Yukon, OK.  Several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
