Funeral services for Miss Lydia M. Whitaker, 75, who died in her home in Hammon Monday, February 27, 1969 were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church of Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, with Rev. Paul Whitaker officiating.
Burial was in Dreamland cemetery, Canyon, Texas.
Miss Whitaker was born September 30, 1893, in Luray, Kansas.
She was a school teacher by profession and had lived and taught school in Amarillo, prior to moving to Hammon two years ago.
Survivors include one brother, Dale Whitaker, with whom she made her home; two sisters, Mrs. Naomi Cooper of Castro Valley, California; and Mrs. Jewell Woodward of Amarillo, Texas.
