Steven Albert Wheeler, 69, of Kingfisher, died in Oklahoma City of congestive heart failure on Jan. 2, 2025.
He was born in Ft. Sill in 1955 to Albert and Marilyn Wheeler and was the first of their three children.
Steven attended Kingfi sher Public Schools before studying to be a geologist at The University of Oklahoma, eventually following in his father’s footsteps and working in the oil industry.
Steven was preceded in death by his father Al Wheeler and sister Sandra Turner.
He is survived by his mother Marilyn Wheeler, sister Brynda Wheeler, daughter Breahna Heimstra, her husband Brett and their son, Reef. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Steven’s funeral service will be held at the Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25.
Donations can be made to Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Edmond to help cover unexpected costs, or flowers can be sent to the Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene.
