Andy Curtis Wheeler

Andy Curtis Wheeler
Friday, February 3rd, 1961 ~ Monday, January 20th, 2020

Andy Curtis Wheeler, 58, passed from this life on Monday, January 20th, 2020.

Andy was born February 3, 1961 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of James Curtis and LaDonna Sue (Chapman) Wheeler.

Andy had a talent for restoring and repairing vehicles. There was nothing he couldn't fix. His love of cars did not stop there, he enjoyed watching racing of all kinds and socializing with his fellow car enthusiasts. Bringing joy and laughter to others was what brought him happiness. His ornery demeanor was a characteristic that made him so likeable by everyone he came into contact with. If you were a friend of Andy's, you could guarantee that he had your back no matter what. More than anything, Andy loved sharing a cold beer with his friends. They were his constant companions and lifted him up in his darkest hours. I found out on Christmas day, 2019 that his body was riddled with cancer and the odds were against him. Andy stood strong and was determined to beat it but God had other plans.

Andy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Santana and Bobby Dennis; one brother: Jimmy Wheeler and one sister and brother-in-law: Robin and Tommy Crowder. He also leaves behind five grandchildren: Asher, Kale, Liam, Grant and Monty Dru Dennis; nieces: LaDonna Crowder, Johnna Cook and Rebekah Wheeler; nephew: Jerrod Crowder; and a host of family and friends.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents: James Curtis and LaDonna Sue (Chapman) Wheeler; grandparents: Jack and Bertha Chapman, Bill and Fannie Wheeler; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that welcomed him home.

Viewing will be from 4-8 PM on Friday January 24th, 2020.

A service to celebrate his life will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 25th, 2020 at South Colonial Chapel in Vondel Smith South Funeral Home at 6934 S Western, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The family invites you to join them at Cocina De Mino restaurant located at 6022 S Western to continue the celebration and share your stories of Andy. Food and drink are available for your purchase.
