Tyler McCade West, son of Jeffery Lynn West and Chelsey Renee Moore, was born April 29, 1995 at Guymon, OK. He passed from this life May 27, 2018 at the age of 23 as the result of an ATV accident in Ellis County.
Tyler attended elementary school at Straight, OK., a community west of Hooker, OK. and at the age of 12, along with his Dad, he was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Hooker, OK. He attended Jr. High and High School at Leedey, OK. A member of the 2013 graduating class, he was active in baseball and FFA. He received the "Hardest Worker" award in FFA his senior year. He attended one year of college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK.
Tyler worked at the Leedey Farmers Coop and for Mike and Annie Switzer before beginning his employment at Kauk Construction as a heavy equipment operator. He was a hard worker who also enjoyed having fun with his friends. He drove a race car at the Longdale Speedway for a time and riding ATV's was a special interest.
Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfather Lee West. Those cherishing his memory are his dad, Jeff West and wife Kimber of Arnett, OK., his mother, Chelsey Wells and spouse, Michael Shaw of Yukon, OK. His sister, Destiny Wells of Yukon, OK. and stepsisters, Kaylynn and Clara of Arnett, OK.; grandmother, Judy West of Arnett, OK. and grandparents Bob and Lisa Moore of Temple, TX.; two aunts, Lisa and Lance Gibson, Amy and Jim Faustina and one uncle, Chad Moore, other relatives and a host of friends.
