Phyllis Sue West

Phyllis Sue West
July 13, 1945 ~ January 4, 2024

Phyllis Sue West, affectionately known as Sue, departed this life on January 4, 2024, in McKinney, Texas, at the age of 78. She was born on July 13, 1945, in the heart of Antlers, Oklahoma, to Cal and Beatrice (Warden) West.

A beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Sue's legacy lives on through her daughters, Kimberly Bailey of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Kay Rich of Grand Prairie, Texas. She was the cherished matriarch to her adoring grandchildren, Calvin Bailey, Jeffrey Bailey, Robert Daniels, Allen Mauck, Tyler Mauck, and Michael Daniels, whose lives she brightened with her enduring love and care. Sue also leaves behind her caring sisters, Barbara Monks of Ivanhoe, Texas, and Pauletta Flowers of Windom, Texas. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Bill Rich, her treasured daughter Gail Mauck, her loving parents, and her brothers Robert "Doc" Cleveland, Ted Warden, Max "Hooker" Vansickle, DeWayne "Runt" Vansickle, and DeWight "Tunie" Vansickle.

Sue's life was filled with simple pleasures, her garden, and her kitchen. She indulged in canning, gardening, and cooking. She found joy and laughter in episodes of Jerry Springer, a reflection of her sense of humor. Most of all, Sue loved to be surrounded by family and friends, nurturing relationships that would stand the test of time.

Cremation has been selected and no services are planned at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, 121 North 5th Street, Durant, Oklahoma, 74701.
