Jan West

Jay West was born January 17, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri to Teree Elizabeth and John Cooper West, Jr.. He passed away February 26, 2015 at Los Angeles, CA at the age of 45 years, 1 month and 9 days.

Jay grew up in Elk City and graduated from Elk City High School in 1988. After graduation, he attended Oklahoma Baptist University then Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. Jay later became a movie critic and writer.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, John Cooper West III.

Jay is survived by his children, Quinton Beal West and Ronald Beal West, both of Los Angeles, CA; his father, John Cooper West, Jr., Elk City, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
