Florence Mildred West

October 9, 1915 ~ June 23, 2008

Florence Mildred West, resident of Ponca City, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2008 at Shawn Manor Nursing Home in Ponca City. She was 92.

Florence was born the daughter of Frank Everett West and Louise Romines West on October 9, 1915, in Raymondville, Missouri. She began school at the age of 6 in Raymondville, Missouri, and then in 1927 she moved to Ponca City. She attended and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1935. Florence was a member of Sunset Baptist Church. Florence was employed at H.S. Kress, Mid-America Factory and Roberts Manufacturing Co. She later retired from Highlands Laundry in 1985.

She is survived by her brother, Luther Romines West; and nephews, Everette Rinehart, Dean Rinehart and Larry Rinehart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Onita West Rinehart; and brother, Warren Elgie West.

No services have been scheduled at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
