Clarence Edwin "Ed" West
September 1, 1940 ~ June 20, 2020

Clarence Edwin (Ed) West, was born September 1, 1940 in Livonia, Missouri to Aubrey West and Iva (Garr) West. He passed away June 20, 2020 at his home near Gaar Corner at the age of 79 years 9 months and 19 days. He has lived most of his life in the Gaar Corner, Stratford area. He married Barbara Hyden on May 27, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was one of eleven children from a very musical family. He loved playing the guitar and harmonica, loved bluegrass music. He worked for Firestone for many years until retirement.

Preceded by; his parents, four brothers; DeWayne, Cloyde, Jerry, and William West.

Survived by; his wife Barbara of the home; Two daughters; Terry Ann Rich & husband Samuel of Tomball, Texas; Sandra Dee Martini & husband Jeffrey of Oklahoma City, OK. one son; Dan Edwin West & wife Joyce of Pickett. three brothers; Linn West & wife Linda of Des Moines, Iowa; Elmer, and Larry West both of Des Moines, Iowa. three sisters; Mae West, Fayetta Clark, and Linda Cox all of Des Moines, Iowa. Six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one on the way.
