Bettie Sue West
December 12, 1947 ~ October 21, 2020

Bettie S. West was born December 12, 1947 at Tiller, Arkansas to John and Velma (Rogers) West and passed away Thursday, October 21, 2020 at the age of 72.

Bettie attended and graduated from Tiller High School in Arkansas but has been a resident of the Watonga community since 2002.

She was a voracious reader and loved to travel. Along her travels, Bettie never met a stranger and greeted all those she met with a kind smile. She enjoyed living in the country where she could be around the wildlife.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Velma West; seven brothers, Jim West, John Earl West, Bob West, Thomas “Butch” West, Steve West, and Keith West; one sister, Leona Clark of Noble; one nephew, Eric Jay West.

She is survived by:

One sister, Louise Lewis of Arkansas.

Two sister-in laws: Melinda West of Guthrie, Oklahoma; and Sandra (West) Maddux and husband Don of Watonga, Oklahoma.

Four Nephews; Ed and Wife Kasey of Texarkana, Roger West and wife Darla of Andrews, Texas, Harold Sr., and wife Ruth of Bowie, Texas; Stewart West of Guthrie, Okla.

One niece; Rebecca West of Guthrie, Okla.

As well as several other nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A private family service for Bettie Sue West will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Watonga Senior Citizens Center.
