Teresa "Cecilia" (Lieber) Werner
February 23, 1928 ~ April 6, 2019

Teresa Cecilia Werner, 91, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held Friday, April 12, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, in Enid, OK. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Cecilia was born February 23, 1928, in Muskogee, OK to James “Howard” and Elizabeth Lieber. She married Roy J. Werner on June 7, 1948, in Topeka, KS.

Cecilia devoted her life to her family. She was an active volunteer for VITA preparing tax returns, Elder Care, and St. Gregory’s Friday Food Pantry. She was an avid swimmer after learning how to swim in her 60’s. She enjoyed working with flowers in her garden. She also loved taking a nap while sitting in the sun. Her grandchildren would always bring her joy and happiness.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her son Joseph Werner, and her husband of almost 49 years, Roy Werner. Survivors include her daughters; Sally Werner Hobbs and her husband J.C. Hobbs, Susan Werner Anastasiadis and her husband Demetri Anastasiadis, and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer McCormack and her husband Timothy McCormack. Six grandchildren; Sarah, Patrick, Mary, Matthew, Cynthia, and Lisa. Four Great Grandchildren, Ben, Abby, Will, and Cosette. Her sister Dora Marie Grevett of Enid, OK, her brother, Hank Lieber of Tulsa, OK, and her sister, Betty Ann Seitz of Topeka, KS. Also preceding her in death her brother, Joe Tony Lieber and her sister, Martha Waldschmidt. She is also survived by her devoted cat, Little One, a.k.a. Jumbo, who stayed on her lap comforting her.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Gregory the Great Good Samaritan Fund, or Hospice Circle of Love, Enid, OK.
