Thomas Earl Wendt

Thomas Earl Wendt
August 2, 1958 ~ May 22, 2026

Thomas Earl Wendt, 67, passed away on May 22, 2026. He was born on August 2, 1958, in Vernon, Texas, to Author Charles Wendt and Phyliss Ann (Burns) Wendt.

Tommy was a hardworking man who spent much of his life working as an electrician and flow back hand. He believed in providing for his family and took pride in the work he did. More than anything, Tommy devoted his life to making his children and grandchildren happy, and his love for them was evident in everything he did.

He is survived by his three children: Kristen Louise Wynn of Houston, Texas; Thomas Charles Wendt of Willow, Oklahoma; and Erica Dawn Mills and her husband Gary of Willow, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Sierra, Gage, Angela, Lindsy, Hunter, Skye, Charlie, Harley, Kotten, Kaydence, Jovi, Payzlee, Adilynn, Stetson, Stockton, Strayton, Jolly (Tsalagi), and Bella, and many cherished nieces and nephews, and his siblings Amy Atwood, Mike Wendt, and Holly Gilmore.

Tommy loved the outdoors and found joy in hunting, fishing, and raising his game birds. He enjoyed telling stories, spending time with family, and making people smile. His warm heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.

Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he gave so freely will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

A memorial service to honor Tommy’s life will be held Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Greer Funeral Home.
