Vera Louise (Tillman) Wendler

Vera Louise (Tillman) Wendler
October 25, 1942 ~ December 05, 2009

Vera Louise Wendler, 67, of Guthrie, OK passed away on December 5, 2009. She was born on October 25, 1942 in Carnegie, OK to Vadis Elton and Belle (Birge) Tillman, Sr.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Vera is survived by one son Brian Hibbler and wife Janetta of Guthrie; three grandchildren Daniel Hibbler, Nathan Hibbler, and Kendra Hibbler all of Guthrie; four sisters Wilda Rose of Hinton, OK, Vada Rowell of Vinegar Bend, AL, Linda McLane of Hinton, OK, and Debbie Dye of Guthrie; and one brother Junior Tillman of Hinton.

My mom was truly a servant for God and loved working in and with her church whenever she could. She always donated her time to helping anyone with a need. She was a very good artist and loved teaching her art skills to prison inmates, veterans, nursing homes, or just anyone who wanted to learn. She was very talented in western art and western furniture and was a member of the Cowboy Hall of Fame. She was also a very good seamstress making wedding dresses, Victorian dresses, and hats of all kinds and she made the curtains and banners for the church. She was the most amazing and talented woman I have ever known.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Living Waters Church, Guthrie. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
