Linda Wells passed away on August 22, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was born July 13, 1946 in Pasadena, California to James Frank Barber, Jr. and Eunice Otwell Barber. She graduated Elgin High Schooll and attended Cameron college for a period of time. She worked at Northrop and Jennings Trucking for many years. Then she opened A coffee shop and book store called Forgotten Works, then went to work at AT&T where she retired in 2012. Her hobbies include gardening, fishing, hunting and spending time with her family and friends. She loved all of her family.
She married Jimmy Wells in August 1963 and in that union two beautiful daughters were born: Carol Parks and Kendra Wells
She is survived by her Life Partner Duston Rhoades of 26 years who loved and cherished not only Linda but all of her family.
Daughters: Carol & husband Kelly Parks of Yukon; Kendra Wells of Norman, and their father Jimmy Wells of Elgin, OK.
Grandchildren: Tanner Sessom of Marlow; Kassidi Parks of Yukon
Great Grandchildren: Brooklyn Sessom, and her mother, Brandy Coryell both of El Paso, TX
Mother: Anne Barber of Elgin
Sisters: Patty Bylsma of Washington, Carolyn Moussa of California, Jamie Porter of Elgin
Brother: James Frank Barber III, of Elgin
Other survivors include daughter’s: Monica and husband Beau Lynch of AZ; Renee and husband Steve Strange of Lawton; Son: Manuel Martinez of New York; grandchildren: Shelby and husband Brandon Parker, Amber Strange, Jacob Strange, and Jared Strange, great grandchildren: Leanne Martinez, Ava Grace and Kain McGilbary and Rolanda Galban, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was proceeded in death by: mother Eunice Otwell Barber, father James Frank Barber Jr, Brother James Curtis Barber, granddaughter Ashley Parks and greatgrand Brodie Parks, son-in-law Todd Lee Hill, brother-in-law James Porter.
Memorial Contributions, In lieu of flowers, can be made to Oklahoma Heart Hospital, 4050 W Memorial Road, OKC, OK
Funeral arrangements are under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.
