Douglas McAurthur Wells entered this life on March 12, 1942 in Springer, Oklahoma born to Ruben and Mossy Wells and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 13, 2014 at the age of 72 years and 1 day.

Doug attended Springer Schools and graduated from Dickson high school in 1960. After graduating he worked for his brother-in-law Farris Richards at The Boys Food Store for 25 years. On June 9, 1962 Doug and Nita Duncan were united in marriage and she was the love of his life. Doug ran the King of Diamonds Night club and he loved sharing stories from that time. Doug also worked for Love’s in Ardmore for 11 years. In his free time he enjoyed playing dominos, poker and farkle, taking his grandkids fishing, watching old westerns, OU football and the OKC Thunder, eating catfish and setting by the fire while spending time with his family and friends.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents Ruben and Mossy Wells; borthers Jack wells, Don Wells, Robert Wells, Bruce Wells; sisters Fern Richards, Dorthy Hooper; infant son; special nieces Dee and Robin Wells; special nephew Curtis Kluver along with many other nephews.

He is survived by his daughter Vicky Rowley and husband Dan of Ardmore, Oklahoma; sisters Berdine Kluver and husband Bill of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Lois Stagner and husband Gilbert of Edmond, Oklahoma; granddaughters Krista Burns and Robby Burns of Dickson, Oklahoma, Jessica Rowley and Gus Heartsill of Ardmore, Oklahoma; great grandkids Riley Burns, Dawson Burns, and Briar Heartsill; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Doug will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Harvey Douglas Chapel.
