Rex Alan Welch
November 28, 1959 ~ February 28, 2019

The memorial service for Rex Alan Welch, 59-year-old former Enid resident, will be announced at a later date. Rex was born November 28, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas to Mark and Carolyn (Rust) Welch and died Thursday, February 28, 2019 in Tylertown, Mississippi.

Rex graduated from High School in Biloxi, Mississippi with the class of 1977. He then attended college in Mississippi. He moved to Helena, Oklahoma in the late 80s to farm with his grandfather. He later owned and operated Welch Roofing and Construction and Midwest Roofing Supply while in Enid and later in Tylertown, where he moved to in 2005.

Rex loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding four-wheelers, fishing, and spending time with his family on his property. He never met a stranger and always wanted to put a smile on your face.

He is survived by his sons; Cort Welch, and Cody Welch and his wife Madison, all of Enid. His Mother Carolyn Welch of Biloxi, two sisters, Sherri Lenz of Louisiana and Tara Okullo of Houston, one brother Scot Welch of Clinton, MS. as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Mark Welch.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home to OMRF (esophageal cancer division).
