Patricia Lee Weinand

December 01, 1946 ~ November 20, 2017

Patricia Lee Weinand, 70, passed away November 20, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born December 1, 1946 in Denver, CO, to William Richards and Ila Lowrie.

After graduating from Denver's South High School, Pat moved to Oklahoma to enjoy the open spaces and to indulge in her love of animals. She especially loved horses and Oklahoma was a place she could ride and care for horses to her heart's content. She was always happiest when being in the outdoors and taught that love of nature and animals to her children.

She met and fell in love with Bill Weinand and his family quickly became her family too. She loved working with Bill on his farms west of Guthrie. Along with raising three daughters and working on the farms, Pat went to nursing school and worked as a nurse for over 20 years.

Pat is survived by her three daughters, Carol Davison of Guthrie; Jamie and Terry Swinford of Stillwater; and Beth and Alan Ford, Jr. of Guthrie; four grandchildren, Ashley Castle and Kendall Stephens of Oklahoma City; Megan Castle of Guthrie; Devin Castle of Oklahoma City and Clayton and Mickala Davison of Mulhall; and sister, Billie and James Weber of Littleton, CO. She is also survived by other family members including Leta Mae Pyle and Gene Pyle of Guthrie.

Her children and grandchildren were a bright spot in her life and they are her biggest legacy.

Her laugh and wit will be greatly missed by all who love her.

Memorial services for Pat will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.

There will be no visitation.
