Feb. 27, 1948 ~ Aug. 20, 2014

Jeffrey "Rick" Weber, 66, of Salina, Kan., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014. He was born in Stillwater, Okla., to Robert and Lou Ann (Tucker) Covert on Feb. 27, 1948.

He graduated from Enid High School, Enid, Okla., in 1967, and Midwestern Broadcasting School in Chicago in 1968.

He joined the Army and proudly served in the Vietnam War.

He opened Mid America Productions in 1984, and has owned and operated that business for more than 30 years.

He leaves behind Judy, his best friend and wife of 22 years; daughters, Karrie (Kip) Smythia and Kelly (Dan) Bunker, all of Lee�s Summit, Mo.; stepmother, Kay Covert of Walnut Creek, Calif.; sisters, Leslie (Rick) Weldon of Enid, Okla., and Robin (Ken) Maguire of Carmel, Calif.; and his grandchildren, who he loved so much, Morgan Smythia, Riley Unruh, Madison Smythia and Reese Unruh, all of Lee�s Summit, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Lou Ann Weaber, Robert Covert and stepfather, Don Weaber.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Ryan�s Mortuary, Salina, Kan., with family present from 4-6 p.m. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at Ryan�s Mortuary. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Westlawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka, Kan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salina County Animal Shelter, VFW, DVACK, or donors choice and are in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth Street, Salina KS, 67401.
