Nina (Moore) Weaver

June 11, 1924 ~ March 18, 2007

Memorial services for Nina Moore Weaver, age 82, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at First Christian Church in Bonham under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rick Edwards, pastor of First Christian Church will officiate. A private family graveside will be held at Willow Wild Cemetery. Nina passed away Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

Nina was born June 11, 1924 in Ector, Texas, daughter of Charlie Alexander Moore and Nina Belle Norman Moore. She was a graduate of Bonham High School. Nina married O.M. Weaver, November 24, 1943 in Bonham and he preceded her in death August 4, 1993.

Nina was the first person to donate land in Bonham for Habitat for Humanity. She enjoyed quilting and gardening and was an excellent seamstress. Nina loved to take care of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd and Norman Moore.

Surviving are: Sons and daughters-in-law: Jack and Joan Weaver of Chickasha, Oklahoma; Dan and Elizabeth Weaver of Gouldsboro, Maine; Chuck Weaver of Ft. Collins, Colorado; Grandchildren: Brandi and Mike Smith, Heather and Andy Pujats, Joseph Weaver and Joanna Weaver; Great-Grandchildren: Taylor and Chase Smith and Hannah and Olivia Pujats; Special Friend: Ken Pittman of Bonham.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bud and Frances Moody, James and Kathryn Rodgers, Bernard and Helen Clayton, Lois Arledge, Ken Pittman and members and Elders of First Christian Church in Bonham.

Memorials may be made to the Bonham Public Library or the First Christian Church in Bonham. The family will receive friends at Nina's residence in Bonham. You may sign the online guest register at
