Andrew Donovan Weave

March 3, 1966 ~ Aug. 12, 2002

Andrew Donovan Weaver, 36, of Plano, formerly of Amarillo, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2002.

Memorial services will be held at St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Amarillo at 2 p.m. Saturday under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Cremation will follow.

Mr. Weaver was born March 3, 1966, in Rochester, Ind., to Lynn Wayne and Patricia Ann Langwell Weaver.

He graduated from high school in Hollis, Okla., and received a bachelor's degree in engineering physics from Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha social fraternity.

His hobbies included motorcycle racing, dirt-biking, truck racing, boating, jet-skiing, scuba diving, rock climbing, sky-diving and flying ultralight airplanes. He was a talented artist, video producer and photographer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lynn Weaver, who died Nov. 26, 1973, at age 36, paternal grandfather, Vaughnie Langwell, and aunt, Linda Langwell.

Survivors include his mother, Pat Langwell Weaver of Amarillo; a brother, Tyler Weaver of Garland, Texas; his fiancee, Sharon Burbank, her son, Christopher, and daughter, Brandi of Plano, Texas; paternal grandmother, Florence Weaver of Lamartine, Pa.; maternal grandmother, Carldeene Langwell of Amarillo; uncles and aunts, Doyl and Marcene Langwell of Amarillo; Linda & Riley Mills of Trophy Club; Marj and Skip Young of Knox, Pa.; cousins and numerous friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for Brain Tumor Research, c/o Dr. Karen L. Fink, P.O. Box 910888, Dallas TX 75391-0888.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Boxwell Brothers.
