Lucille Weatherly passed on from this world Friday, November 3, 2017. Born Ruby Lucille Stinson in Butler but growing up in Hammon, Oklahoma to Claude and Nettie (Vignal) Stinson. Lucile was the 13th of 14 children.
She married T.V. (Vic) Weatherly on April 23, 1949 and made their home in Elk City. Together, they raised four children; Basil, Lawanda, Victor and Billy. Lucille began a career as a sales clerk in the early 1960's at Leroy Johnson's 66 Pharmacy, later moving downtown to Paul Jones Drug. For close to twenty years after that, she was employed by Mike Bugher and Steve Baker at the United Drug Store. After retiring she spent most of her time answering the phone at Weatherly RCA Store. She was also a member of the 2nd & Adams Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vic, her parents and 12 of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her 4 children, Basil Weatherly, Elk City, OK, Lawanda McCoy and husband, Thomas, Leadville, CO, Victor Weatherly and wife, Jeanie, Elk City, OK and Billy Weatherly and wife, Sherri, Elk City, OK; 9 grandchildren, Jeff, John, Matthew, Kyle, Jacy, Lynnse, Robb, Kim and Shannon; 20 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Edith Melcher, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to the Great Plains Regional Medical Center Foundation.
