Richard Watt

Richard Watt
April 26, 1937 ~ November 3, 2016

Richard Watt son of Henry Watt and Mary (Corum) Watt was born April 26, 1937 in Christie, Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully at his home in Gladstone, Missouri on November 3, 2016 at the age of 79 years.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, children Tony Watt and Shannon Watt, his siblings Jennie Holland, Ned Watt, Ida Mae Hammer, Gus Watt, Joe Watt, and Hazel Blossom of Westville, Oklahoma.

Richard is survived by Verna Lee his wife of 44 years, children Tiffany and her husband Stephen Rooker, Edward Walker, Jolene Watt Long, Rick Watt; granddaughter Natelyn LeeWalker of the home, granddaughter Mandy Kay Watie, granddaughter Chalon Whitmire, granddaughter Chassidy Burke, grandson Donny Burke, grandson Heath Watt, and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

 He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1955-1959. He was a member of Local 1290 Laborers' International Union of North America over 40 years; and worked for J. G. Creten Construction over 40 years.

Richard was loved by everyone who knew him. These days it is rare to know your neighbors in a large city but he managed to develop a friendship with his neighbors up to an eight block radius. Richard will be missed but never forgotten by his loved ones, friends and family.

Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Three Crosses Cowboy Church (2 miles South of Westville, Oklahoma on Hwy 59) with Pastor John Hammer officiating.
