Vance L. Watson passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at Jane Phillips Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013 in the Walker-Brown Chapel with Reverend Jason Petermann officiating. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #105 Honor Guard. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Vance Lee Watson was born April 1, 1946 in Monterey, CA to Wymon Lee and Frenchie Irene (Cannon) Watson. Vance proudly served his country in the US Army. He married Linda Atkins on January 8, 1971 in Miami, OK. As a truck driver-owner operator, Vance traveled the roads of American for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, online poker and playing golf.

Vance is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda, of the home. One daughter, Crystal Watson of McCloud, OK and one son, Wymon Watson and wife Barbie of Ontario, OR. He was blessed with five grandchildren; Lindsay, Danya, Kelsey, Tyler, Wymon and two great grandchildren, Libby and Bo. One brother, David, three sisters; Martha, Vonnie and Alanna, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Vance was preceded in death by his parents.
