Daisy Watson was born March 1, 1931, in Forrest City, Arkansas, one of seven children born to Olly Franklin and Dorthy Louise Norton. She passed away on October 27, 2022, at the age of 91. Daisy and her first husband had one child, Imogene Smith. Then in 1965 Daisy and William Watson were married. They had one child, Mayble Watson.

Daisy did much canning, baking cookies and cakes, and making different kinds of candy. Her baking and candies were always in demand. She made most of her family’s clothes including her granddaughter’s wedding dress. She always made homemade gifts that are treasured to this day. Football was her favorite game to watch and she had colored many, many books. She considered her son-in-law, Edward, her son.

As time went on, Daisy worked doing many other things. She worked at the nursing home in Helena in the kitchen for a few years. She had been a waitress, bartender, and taught ballroom dancing. Oh, and let’s not forget her love for the casino. The stories and memories she told of her adventures her grandkids will never forget. Later on she enjoyed traveling with Mayble. They had traveled all of Route 66.
