Debbie was born on October 28, 1940 to the late Robert B. Allen, Jr. & Sue P. (Paschel) Allen in Cushing, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on November 17, 2024 in Drumright, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, and 20 days.
Debbie was raised and educated in Cushing, and was a 1958 Graduate of Cushing High School. After high school she attended the University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in education administration. Debbie was a founding member/director of Cushing Public School’s Child Service Demonstration Center, serving as the center’s Executive Director from it’s inception until her retirement in 1998.
In retirement, Debbie enjoyed traveling and playing bridge. Debbie was a member of the Cushing chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and previously served as a state regent for the organization. She was a member of the Leadership Oklahoma Class II, and was the recipient of that organization’s first Excellence in Oklahoma Leadership Award.
In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by two sons; Henry Allen Browne and James M. “Jay” Browne.
Debbie is survived by her husband; Charles D. Watson, Jr. of the home: Son; Christopher Browne: Grandchildren; Alex Browne – Jennifer Browne Smith – James Browne: Great Grandchildren; Emmarie & Eli Smith.
