Tahlequah-Funeral services for Cheryl Lynn Watson, 59, of Tahlequah will be held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, March 27, at Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Nichols officiating
Cheryl Lynn Watson, daughter of Homer Genevieve Cox, was born April 19, 1942 in Wichita, Kan, and died Monday, March 25, 2002, in Tahlequah after reaching the age of 59 years, 11 months and 6 days.
As young adult, Cherri modeled clothes professionally and won the Miss Kentucky Pageant. She then pursued a career in education and taught for seven years in the Shickley Schools in Nebraska.
An accomplished pianist, she loved playing for friends, church, or whenever she could entertain. Cherri loved people, made friends easily and never spoke an unkind word about anyone. Cherri belonged to the Church of the Nazarene.
Both of her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; one brother, David Cox and wife Judy of Collinsville; and very special friends, Gertrude James of Tahlequah, Mr. and Mrs Tom Campbell of Tahlequah, and Mr. and Mrs. Stan Rutherford of Locust Grove; as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
