SFC Billy Joe Watson, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Okemah, Oklahoma. He became a native of Fayetteville, NC.
Sergeant First Class Billy Joe Watson was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, SFC Watson served our country until June 21, 1971 in Ninh Thuan, South Vietnam. He was 38 years old and was married. It was reported that Billy died when the vehicle he was traveling in was struck by lightning and it crashed. His body was recovered. Billy was born on October 19th, 1932 in Okemah, Oklahoma. SFC Watson is on panel 3W, line 084 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
Billy Joe Watson was born and raised in Okemah, Oklahoma on Oct 19th, 1932. He was the son of Etta Watson. Billy married Freda Louise Dacus and they had five children; Robert, Billy, Anthony, Lisa and David.
