Jerauld A. "Jerry" Watkins

May 21, 1940 ~ Feb. 28, 2014

ENID, Okla. - Service for Jerauld "Jerry" Watkins, 73, of Jasper, Texas, formerly of Enid, Okla., was held Monday, March 3, 2014, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Jasper. Arrangements were by Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.

Jerry was born May 21, 1940, in Enid, Okla., to LeRoy and Genevieve Watkins, and died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

A native of Oklahoma, he was a 1958 graduate of Enid High School.

He worked in the oil field industry for many years before becoming a mill wright with the Louisiana Pacific Plant in Jasper. He enjoyed fishing and college football, especially OU. He loved his family and his cats.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nadine �Dee� Watkins of Jasper; daughters, Teresa Denise Gill and husband William of Gulfport, Miss., and Jerri Lynn Harris of Biloxi, Miss.; sister, Judy Latchaw and husband Paul of Enid; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jeanette Hatfield; and brother, James Watkins.
