Audree Michelle "Our Shellie" (Roe) Watkins

Audree Michelle "Our Shellie" (Roe) Watkins
December 03, 1950 ~ April 05, 2018

Our Shellie unexpectedly left her earthly home for her eternal home on April 5, 2018. While we lost one of the most genuine hearts here on earth, we know that heaven is so much sweeter with her presence as she sits at the feet of her King.

Audree Michelle Roe was born in Okmulgee, OK to Robert and Ether Mae Roe. She grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned her degree as an RN.

Michelle was a devoted wife and friend to her husband of over 44 years, Dwayne Watkins. Together they built a beautiful family and found so much joy and laughter in the lives of their 3 daughters and 10 grandchildren. Of all the roles she filled, the role of Gammy and Mom were most dear to her heart and were truly the roles she was created for.

To know Michelle was to know one of the warmest, silliest, and most selfless women ever to walk this earth.  Always putting the needs of others first, our Shellie served others with her listening ears, willing hands, and open arms; without reserve, complaint, or hesitation.  In addition to her "Snow White like" love of animals, Michelle found great joy in Dancing with the Stars, all things glittery, old hymns and keeping up with others through social media. Her soft and tender voice could bring comfort to the hurting, encouragement to a friend, and a smile on your darkest day. It is these earthly things we will miss the most, however we find great hope and peace in knowing she is with her Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her older brother Richard and 3 beloved dogs. She is survived by her husband Dwayne; 3 daughters, Beth and husband Blake Hall, Brooke and husband Jimmy Brann, Emily and husband Jon Drake; Step-mom, Elizabeth Ann Roe; 10 grandchildren; bonus sister, Julie McGuffee; 3 step sisters and 1 step brother.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 1 – 8 PM at Buchanan Funeral Service.

Services to celebrate her life will be on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Putnam City Baptist Church at 2:00 PM.
