Memorial Services for Charles Ellis Washington, 64, will be at 2pm Friday, September 12, 2014 at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Home. Pastor Dwight Franklin of Mt. Pleasant Church will be officiating.
Charles passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 in Lawton, OK. Charles was born October 14th, 1949, in Lawton to Seir and Sedelia Washington.
Charles attended Dunbar Elementary and Douglass High School. Charles served in the Army for two years.
Charles was later employed by the City of Lawton Sanitation Department. Due to an injury Charles became a chef at such places as Big Chef, Mikes Sports Grill, and Atlanta Bread Company.
Charles was a member of the Church of the Living God. Charles was a fan of sports, movies, and music.
Charles is survived by three sisters; Joann Johnson of Wichita Falls, Tx, Mary Davis and Stella Shippy of Lawton, OK.; two brothers, Donald Washington of Sebustian FL. And Kenneth Washington of Lawton, OK. and a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William Washington and Larry Washington, and four sisters, Rosie Roberts, Goldie Young, Martha Washington, and Diane Washington.
