S.P. "Pete" Washer, 87, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Memory Gardens of Pampa under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm at the funeral home in Fritch. In lieu of flowers please honor his memory by doing an act of kindness for someone.
Pete was born September 19, 1934 in Celina, Texas to Arley Joseph Washer and Addie Margaret Cannon Washer. He married Jerryl Dine February 10, 1963 in Borger. He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Texas Tech in 1958. Pete worked for over 30 years at Phillips. He and Jerryl opened their hearts and their home to numerous foster children of the years.
He had a brilliant mind and enjoyed bringing his thoughts into creation in his garage.
Preceding him in death are his parents; Arley Washer, Addie and I.M. "Red" Livingston; wife, Jerryl Dine Washer; son-in-law, Troy Stowell; granddaughter, Nyssa Stowell; and brothers, Joe Livingston, T.J. Washer, Earnest Washer.
Survivors include his children, Katherine Denise Stowell of Fritch, Doug Washer of Fritch, Deborah Soderstrom and husband Rick of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Chris Washer and wife Nicole of Aubrey, Texas, Luke Washer of Oregon, Matt Washer of Oregon; grandchildren, Mary Washer, Mark Washer, Michael Washer, Camille Soderstrom, Naomi Soderstrom, and Leah Soderstrom; numerous nieces and nephews; his foster children; a host of extended family.
