Lola "Illene" (Teter) Warren

Lola "Illene" Warren, age 86, of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away August 15, 2021 at Ponca City Nursing Home, in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Central Baptist Church with Pastor John Waterloo officiating. Following the service, a graveside service will be held at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kansas with her son, Rev Joe Warren officiating. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory where face masks are required. Those unable to attend the Funeral Ceremony may attend virtually on the Central Baptist Church website,

Illene, one of a set of triplets, was born on August 25, 1934 in Oxford, Kansas to Donald and Frances (Holman) Teter. Illene graduated in 1953 and from Ark City High School. Illene was a loving homemaker to her husband, James Warren, and loving mother their children, and grandchildren. Illene volunteered at the Tulsa Regional Hospital. She loved to travel and went on missionary trips to the Philippians and Chile. She also visited Holy Land, Mexico, and went on several senior bus tours in the US. She was an active long-time member of Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church in Arkansas City, Kansas, where she taught Sunday School over 30 years. After relocating to Ponca City, Oklahoma in 2007, she became a faithful member at Central Baptist Church, Ponca City where she was served on the food committee and sang in adult choir until her health began failing. Illene especially enjoyed entertaining friends and family, playing games and spoiling grandchildren, decorating for absolutely every occasion, and loved watching football and basketball games.

Survivors include daughters, Debbie Binford and husband, Dwane, of Gueda Springs, KS; Vicki Mohler, and husband, James, of Spokane, MO; sons, Rev. Joe Warren and wife, Cindy, of San Antonio, TX; Tom Warren and wife, Jo Lynn, of Geuda Springs, KS.; David Warren and wife, Sharon, of Maple City, KS; 27 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren (and counting); sisters, Velma Johnston, of Ft. Worth TX; Delores Penner of Mesa, AZ; and sister in laws, Faye Teter of Augusta, KS and Leretha Teter of Bartlesville, OK. Illene is also survived by her loving caregivers: Becky Gillespie, Rhonda Arnold, Sandra Heda, and Marla Gammill.

Preceding in death were her husband; parents; brothers, Philip Teter, Leonard Teter; sisters, Edith Fields, and her infant sisters Ailene and Lorene; and caregiver, Karen Hill.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Academy or Manna Ministries, to Central Baptist Church, 1732 E Coleman Rd, Ponca City, OK 74604. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
