Helen Louise McGaha Warren went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. She was 78. A memorial ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ranch Drive Baptist Church.
Helen was born on September 28, 1939 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma to her parents, Ryland McGaha and Florence (Smith) McGaha. She attended Ponca City Schools graduating in 1958. Helen married her soul mate she met in school, Vaughn Warren, in Newkirk in 1957. They had two children, RJ and Tammy. She worked for the Ponca City School System in the food service area of East Junior High. Faith was important to Helen as she was an active member at the Ranch Drive Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family. She and Vaughn had a well producing garden which allowed her to can many different vegetables. The highlight of her life were her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. They brought her so much joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Mary Lou Kerns, Arlene Trueblood, and Lowetta McGaha, and one brother, Ray McGaha.
Helen is survived by her husband of 61 1/2 years, Vaughn Warren, son, Ryland (RJ) Warren and fiance Helene, daughter, Tammy Sue Warren Owen and husband Phillip, granddaughters, Kyra Bright and husband Mike, Jessie Tullis and husband Josh, Jaima Saghani and husband Leo, Jaelynn Warren, Misty Hardiman, and Dane Owen and wife Casey, great-grandchildren, Ethan, Addison, Jerrick, Nick, Ben, Gracie, Tyler, Doug, and Halleigh.
Helen was loved & cherished by many & will truly be missed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be set up at RCB Bank in Ponca City for Helen's medical bills.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
