Richard D. Warner

Aug. 27, 1937 ~ April 4, 2006

A wake for Richard D. Warner, age 68, will be 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at the family home, 2701 W. Pine. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born to David Glenn and Edith Marie (Craghead) Warner on Aug. 27, 1937, in Ponca City and died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at his home in Enid.

Richard graduated high school in Great Bend, Kan. He served in the United States Air Force in England. On Oct. 3, 1976, he married Karen F. Weinmeister in Enid. He came to Enid as manager of Warehouse 12 and retired from Rogers Supply Co. He was an avid golfer, competitive dart player and pool shark, on a good day. Richard was a wonderful dancer, a passionate NASCAR fan, and was known for his tearjerker karaoke singing, especially remembered for "Four Walls," "For the Good Times," "If We Make it til December," and "Amarillo by Morning."

He is survived by his wife, Karen of the home; one daughter, Rae Dawn (Warner) Bailey of Oklahoma City; one son, Ryan David Warner of Bethany; �Man�s best friend,� Frisco; one grandson, Jim Bailey Jr. of Moore; one brother, Ken Warner and wife Maggie Burton of Edmond; one sister, Glenda Bragg and husband Hal of Enid; nieces and nephews and grandnephews; mother-in-law; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; previous wife Judy Warner; and friends as numerous as the stars.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Memorials may be made to Ross Health Care Hospice of Enid, Dexeus Oncology Clinic or AmericanCancer Society.
