Kathleen Ann "Kathy" (Sieck) Warner
August 21, 1950 ~ June 23, 2018

Kathleen Ann Sieck Warner, 67 passed away June 23, 2018.  She was born August 21, 1950 to Walter and Tillie Sieck in Guthrie, Oklahoma.   She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Warner.   Kathy and Bill were together for over 50 years, living in Guthrie their entire lives.  

Kathy's long list of accomplishments began early in life for her.  She graduated Guthrie High School in 1968 and later Central State University.  She worked in the banking industry for over 40 years.  She was vice president and senior loan officer for Guthrie Savings and Loan and later Farmer's and Merchant Bank in both Crescent and Guthrie.  

Kathy had a love and passion for her community and church.  She served on the board for the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce for many years along with being President, was treasurer for the Guthrie Educational Foundation, a member of the Oklahoma Historical Society, and Guthrie Jonquil Club.  She was also active with Rotary, OCHE, and WOW for Guthrie.   Kathy was recognized as Citizen of the Year for Guthrie, Yard of the Week several times, and member of Women's Golf League for Guthrie Country Club.  She served as treasurer for the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ of Guthrie and was a member of the Woman's Group.  Kathy was a long time member of Beta Sigma Phi Society, and Guthrie Book Club.

Kathy and Bill had a passion for traveling.  Many have shared their memories of their trips to Australia, China, Europe, most of the United States, and recently to the Holy Lands.  

She is survived by her husband, Bill of Guthrie, two sons, Brian of Guthrie and Zach and wife Abby Warner of Guthrie and four grandchildren, Kirsten Warner, Zane Warner, Leona Warner, and Jamison Warner, and two great-grandchildren, Lexi and Elijah Warner.   She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Beth Gilliland and husband, Tom of Guthrie and Susan Hood and husband Randy of Guthrie and one sister-in-law, Sharon Welch, and husband, Doug of Denton, Texas.   She had numerous nieces and nephews.  

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Tillie Sieck, and Vernon and Dorothy Warner, and one sister, Anita Everett Acker. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, June 29, 2018 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ of Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

 As an alternative to flowers, friends may contribute to the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ of Guthrie or the Guthrie Educational Foundation.
