Alice Marie (Shellady) Ward
November 18, 1947 ~ May 7, 2018

Alice Marie Ward, 70, died Monday, May 7, 2018, at her home in Wichita. She fought a courageous battle with ALS for over ten years. 

She was born in Enid, Oklahoma, on November 18, 1947, to Wynne B. and Betty J. Shellady. Alice graduated from Enid High School in 1965 and Phillips University in 1969, earning a B.S. in Business Administration.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Ward; two sons, Wesley Williamson and wife Kathryn, and Wade Williamson; her mother Betty Shellady; her sister Nancy Thompson and husband Don; nephews Peter Thompson, Kyle Thompson and wife Jessie, Tim Williamson, and Joe Williamson; stepson Wade Bainum; stepdaughter Jennifer Bainum; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 

Alice was predeceased by her father, Wynne Shellady. 

Before retirement in 2012, she sold health insurance for Student Assurance Services of Stillwater, Minnesota. 

Alice loved sailing, gardening and bird watching, as well as her many grandchildren. 

Donations in memory of Alice may be made to the ALSA Mid-America Chapter, Wichita, Kansas.

Cremation and burial arrangements will be handled by Lakeview Funeral Home/Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 11:00 am at Woodridge Christian Church, 12111 E 13th St N, Wichita, Kansas.
