October 13, 1941 ~ January 18, 2023

Dale Lee Walton, 81, of Marietta, OK passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, OK. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2023, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX. A time of visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.

Dale was born October 13, 1941 in Portland, OH, to the late Carlos and Matilda (McCloud) Walton. He had lived in various communities and had resided in Marietta the past few years. Dale was a veteran of the United States Army, and had retired as the plant manager for a parts manufacturing plant. Dale loved music, especially the oldies, and could often be found watching old westerns. He enjoyed riding motorcycles in his younger years and going to the local casinos.

He married the former Petra Carranza on December 28, 1980, in Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dale Walton, Jr.; brother, Bobby Walton; and a sister, Ruth Walton.

Those left to cherish Dale’s memory are his wife, Petra of the home; sons, Rodney Walton and wife Laura of Birch Tree, MO, Robert Walton and wife Jennifer of Bonham, TX, Paul Walton and wife Deana of Lake Dallas, TX, Jesse Walton and wife Nicole of Flower Mound, TX, Anthony Walton of Denton, TX, and J.J. Sanchez and wife Samantha of Lake Dallas; daughters, Tammy Walton and Stephanie Walton, both of Bakersfield, CA; step-daughter, Sanjuanita Guerrero and husband Raul of Dallas; brother, Paul Walton of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
